Reinf2CAD: After any slab design, the design engineer prepare reinforcement markups and, normally, given to draftsman for drafting either in AutoCAD or in Revit. Nowadays, most of the structural consultancy companies use pdf plans (Bluebeam Revu or similar) and reinf. markups are added digitally. Because, it can be kept in computer and can be modified as required.
Draftsman uses these markups to draw the reinforcement either in AutoCAD or Revit. Once the drafting is finished, it is given to the design engineer for back-checking. It needs several iterations to make the drawing acceptable regarding correctness/accuracy. It needs significant amount of time to do this process.
Reinf2CAD software reads the pdf markups and generate corresponding dxf file and that dxf file can be imported to AutoCAD. We are, also, planning to implement the capability to draw the reinf, in Revit drafting view automatically.
